Although I hold a PhD in Mobile Communications and Computing and have been working in the Tech Sector, I am very passionate about tutoring work. I have been coaching my kids with their GCSEs. As part of this process, I have to always read and understand CGP books associated especially with GCSE AQA Computing Science and GCSE OCR Economics. I also taught maths and physics for KS 3 and GSCE students. When I was at the university, I had experience teaching MSc Students attached to Electronics and Telecommunication department. I can also teach mathematics, physics and computing related subjects to A Level and university students, if required, after studying their requirements. I am a Senior Member of IEEE and have a fresh DBS certificate.
Have experience teaching students at KS 3, GCSE, A Levels, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I was responsible for conducting MSc tutorials at the school of electronics and physical sciences of University of Surrey for a few years. The number of attendees tremendously increased over the years because of the teaching techniques I used.
i) Study the AQA, OCR and Edexcel exam board requirements and define the scope of a subjects for a given level
ii) Create confidence and make the subject as easy as possible by explaining the basics and build upon
iii) Tend to use drawings, sketches, animations and real-life applications of each concept that I teach per day
iv) Systematically approach a given concept and try to model with a help of mathematics if it is absolutely required as long as a student enjoys this approach
v) Solving numerical examples and problems
vi) Always recap by getting the students to engage by way of asking questions and periodically assessing
vii) Exam focused teaching - hence, start with past paper practice as early as possible
viii) Giving regular assignment and home works
