I am an experienced Physics teacher currently teaching in an East Renfrewshire school. I have extensive experience of presenting at all levels up to Advanced Higher. With the introduction of the new National courses over the last 7 years, I have been very involved in the developing of these courses both at local and national level. I am also an experienced SQA marker which allows me to pass on to my students exactly what needs to be done to gain maximum marks.
I have been tutoring at all levels for 20 years with unreserved success.
I provide all high quality teaching material required, including summary notes and revision questions.

Tutoring Experience

I am experienced physics teacher currently teaching in an East Renfrewshire school and for the last 10 years I have been the Faculty Head of Science. Results for the faculty have improved consistently since I joined and implemented my collegiate and support strategies.
I also have extensive tutoring experience with unqualified success.

Tutoring Approach

My aim is to provide students with the tools and strategies to build their confidence and to gain maximum marks in assessments. Together with my passion for my subject and teaching in general, this has proven to be very successful for both me and all my students.
I can do both face to face and online lessons. For online tuition, I use an interactive whiteboard on which both my student and I can write and all teaching material is posted. This allows me to discuss what the student is doing as it is being done. The whiteboard is available to students at all times and not just at tuition times. This makes it an excellent revision tool. This approach is very effective and all my students have found it a very good way of working.
