I am currently employed as a full-time Qualified Teacher at a primary school. In addition to my teaching duties, I also offer private tuition, specialising in English and Maths.

Tutoring Experience

I bring twenty years of hands-on tutoring experience, having successfully guided KS1 and KS2 students, including those preparing for SATs.

I am skilled at helping students build their confidence, reach their full potential, and stretch their abilities while maintaining high academic performance.

My tutoring begins with an initial assessment to ascertain the unique needs and strengths of each student. This is followed by the creation of a structured, tailor-made programme designed specifically to address those needs while also challenging the student’s abilities.

I am renowned for my ability to quickly establish a strong rapport with my learners, which is essential for their academic success. By fostering open communication and understanding, I explain concepts clearly and engagingly, ensuring students remain motivated and focused on their learning objectives.

I specialise in supporting students who struggle with confidence in Maths or English, instilling enthusiasm and boosting self-assurance through positive reinforcement and targeted teaching strategies.

The safety and well-being of my students are paramount. I maintain vigilant oversight during all tutoring sessions and hold a current enhanced DBS certificate to ensure a safe learning environment.
