Hello! My name is Sophia and I am currently a 2nd year medical student at UCL with 2+ years of tutoring experience. Having consistently achieved the highest grades in biology, chemistry and physics, my excellent subject knowledge and teaching skills makes me well placed to tutor students from primary to A level.

I thoroughly enjoy explaining concepts and seeing a challenging idea click in my student's minds. My passion is to motivate students and help them reach their best academic potential.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 2 years of tutoring experience in GCSE and A Level triple science and KS3 English. As a medical student, I have excellent biology knowledge which will aid me when explaining more difficult topics.

Tutoring Approach

I take a holistic approach to target content understanding, exam technique and more challenging questions. This works successfully with my students to cover all bases and ensure they are exam ready. Lessons are personalised to meet the student's concerns, as such, 2 hour lessons are also possible if desired.

I take the time to create comprehensive and student-centred lessons that build a strong foundation, teaching my students to approach difficult content in a logical way. I also set recommended additional work for highly motivated students to consolidate their learning with more challenging questions. This method and my excellent subject knowledge has helped previous students to achieve their academic goals and to build confidence in their subjects.
