I am an enthusiastic individual who has a passion for helping young people. I worked at Tiffin School for 3 years and am currently having a break from teaching in the classroom to pursue a masters degree.
I have a passion for sport in particular football and like to bring my personality and interests to teaching.
I have been a teacher of history in a secondary school for three years. During this time there was a substantial amount of teaching online due to lockdown where I developed methods of making online teaching both engaging and interactive.
I have also been broadly engaged in the humanities as a whole teaching religion and philosophy and geography.
I am also TEFL qualified with a years teaching experience of the English language to Chinese students from the age of 4-18. I believe having great literacy skills are fundamental to understanding and immersing yourself in our society.
I aim to tailor each session to the individual as everyone learns in different ways. I want the student to know that learning is for everyone and we will work together to make the most out of each session.
I think it is important for students to see the progress they make so will take regular assessment for learning so students can see how they are developing.
