Hello! I am 25 years old and grew up in Wandsworth, London. I am a really fun and energetic person, and in my spare time do lots of yoga, reading and knitting. I am currently learning Spanish in a beginners course and am hoping to start a Masters in October studying Psychotherapy. I went to school in Central London and studied French (AS level) Economics, Religious Studies, and Art for A Level (A, A, A, B, respectively). I currently live in Brixton with 3 flatmates. If you have any questions that you would like to ask me, please don't hesitate in getting in touch! Sophie :)
I have lots of experience teaching. I worked in Sri Lanka and taught children and adults English as a foreign language. This was in private lessons and also in group after-school clubs. I have tutored my neighbour in Maths and History for a year at GCSE level.
My teaching approach is very much about making learning fun and different so that it is memorable and sparks interest in the learner. I ensure that the learner's level of ability is constantly reviewed so that the learner feels challenged but not completely lost. I like to make teaching as interactive as possible and will always help the learner get to the answer themselves. Above all, I am warm, friendly and approachable and my motto is that no question is a stupid one.
