Hi! My name is Sophie and I am a second-year History student at the University of Bristol. I studied History, Sociology, and English Literature for my A-Levels, receiving A grades in History and Sociology. Because of my degree and A-level subjects, I am skilled in essay writing - the key to an excellent history grade! I am also a confessed History nerd and therefore great with context and understanding different events.#/k#

Tutoring Experience

Although I have not had any formal teaching experience, whilst taking my A-Levels I helped out years 9, 10, and 11 with exam skills and content learning.

Tutoring Approach

By starting off, I like to identify key areas of needed improvement first by asking students what they struggle with and then reading an example of their work. Then we get down to business and find effective ways to combat the issue. There are so many ways students learn, whether visual, verbal or kinaesthetic - I can be pretty creative in my approach to help a student understand!
