Steve is a good tutor. Friendly and knowledgeable. However due to unforeseen circumstances, I have to discontinue the tutoring process for my child.

We couldn’t agree on a day to suit but I have to leave feedback, no tutor sessions received, Steve could be great but I need to look elsewhere

Has experience in GCSE and A-Level biology tutoring and would use if my cousin was an English student. My cousin, however, is working on Scottish qualifications rather than English ones. We need a tutor with more experience of the curriculum she is working on as she has a lot of difficulty getting to grips with what level of knowledge she requires and A-Level and GCSE are at a completely different level.

Steve has a good confidence building approach, he has a pleasant easy manner and covers quite a bit in each session. He discusses the topic to be covered in the next session so no time is wasted and he knows what is on the 'A' level syllabus our exam board and has a good subject knowledge and explains things clearly.

Am seeking a different tutor as Steve is unable to attend our property for lessons. I cannot drive to lessons. This is no reflection on Steve's excellent teaching.

Ok but not the right fit for my son

Availability on the profile states weekends, but too request he was unable to fit me in on my availability

Steve is excellent tutor, he helped my son to improve his results and now my son has been offer a place in a good university after retake his A levels.

We were only able to fit in 1 session before the exam but found this to be very useful and informative.
Steve was very knowledgeable on the subject and explained things clearly and concisely. Would use him again in the future.

So far Steve has given my 9 year old son 3 lessons and I'm really happy with how it's going. I decided to look for a one on one tutor who could give Louis the extra support he needs to get ahead in his maths as he never asks for help in class. Steves lessons are much more than that, he is exploring biology, grammar and spelling as well. I look forward to Louis coming out of his shell a bit and hopefully putting his hand up more in the classroom.

An excellent tutor in all respects.

Steve has really helped with A level maths. What has taken the school months to teach with out any real success has taken Steve a few hours with great success! Steve has a great and successful teaching approach.

Very nice tutor, good time keeping, but just didn't really work for me. Wasn't very familiar with AQA Chemistry A Level and after two lessons I have decided to try with someone else. I want to understand the theory and then apply it to any question rather than work through a book. But thank you for your time

After just three sessions with Steve my Son's (who's taking chemistry at A2 level) chemistry teacher has noticed he is far more confident in class & passed comment on 'keep this up & you'll be doing very well in your finals'! Steve has been very flexible with his tutor times, which is really good for two working parents. The tutoring is still in the infancy stages (3wks) so progress will be apparent on the long term. To date the teaching method adopted has been well received. Steve energy in teaching is very apparent.

A fantastic tutor. Quickly grappled on to my style of learning and evolved to teach in a way that is beneficial to the requirements regarding a particular test and its question structure. Very easy going and is not at all patronising for those of us that fear Mathematics. I would recommend Steve's tutoring services to anyone.

Hi, I'm having some tuition from Steve for Physics and Chemistry at A Level standard. Steve know's the curriculum well and certainly supporting my school studies. Steve encourages me to identify which areas that I want to concentrate on then plans sessions to focus on these. Learning style whilst relaxed is targeted and thorough.

Pleasant tutor who is supporting my home educated son with GCSE higher maths. Steve is a flexible tutor who understands gaps that need to be filled and seeks to concretise knowledge before moving on. Would recommend to others.

Steve's teaching style is more suitable for students who do not need creative play or interaction. Unable to meet requirements for my 7 year old. Very prompt responses to contact though.

Steve is very good at working out my daughters level of understanding of different components of her GCSE chemistry. He then explains to her so that she understands, how she should present her work (so as not to loose marks in a test) and sets homework to make sure that the information has stayed. He is very enthusiastic, clear and attentive to detail (i.e do we want a drink, warm enough) as well as very knowledgeable in his subject. I have stayed at the tutor meetings as I live too far away to go home and back in the time. Each lesson is one and half hours as Steve believes it is better to teach that way as more is covered. It is certainly intense learning at my daughters own pace probably equivalent to four hours of lessons at school. By which I mean four hours in a school class of thirty where she isn't completely understanding or taking in the subject and is getting passed over for the 'brighter' students.

Brilliant Tutor, Steve made me understand topics I was struggling with really easy! Steve is also really friendly and easy to talk to, he is really understanding and is a pleasure to work with.

Steve is a great teacher. Patient, enthusiastic, friendly, helpful are the main qualities he has. I find his lessons very interesting, helpful and fun. One-to-one teaching has helped me to understand in-depth about different topics of biology and specially chemistry which I was really struggling in. He always make sure if I am understanding the topics well or not, encourages me to ask question and think about the topic in different levels.

steve was very thorough thorough with my kids and they had a good understanding of what he taught them.

I have found Mr. very helpful in explaining physics, he makes many things surrounding a topic very clear so that we can tackle that topic. I found him very good and I did well in Physics that year.

Steve is an excellent tutor he will provide you with the platform you need to achieve the grade you want. He is patient, flexible and willing to go at the pace which suits the tutee. I would definitely recommend Steve to any potential tutee.

Steve was excellent in his subject and managed to convey that to my son who is absolutely not an expert in Calculus. My son was very happy with the sessions and had come on leaps and bounds in only a few meetings. My son was home from university only for a short time and Steve was able to respond to that tight timescale and attend sessions on a weekend/bank holiday. I would thoroughly recommend Steve.

On the slight negative side. Make sure you exactly specify the length of each session as we expected the usual 1hr and Steve kicked off with 2.5hrs and you may not have expected that cost immediately. Also Steve traveled by bus which is great but means it is hard to be accurate exactly what time he will arrive so make sure you have no critical meetings before or immediately after planned, you need to be flexible.
