I pursued my Integrated Master's in Science with a specialization in chemistry at IIRBS, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala (India), in 2014. After working for a year at Johnson Matthey Chemicals Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai as a development officer, I moved to the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), where I pursued my Ph.D. in organic chemistry. Currently, I am carrying out my post-doctoral research at the University of Nottingham, UK in the chemistry department.
I have been a Teaching Assistant during my Ph.D. for 2 years, helping students in my undergrad with courses and project works, lab works. I also have taken home tuition as well as online tuition for students in India.
Once you are clear with the basics of a subject, there won't be any difficulty in learning the higher order problems. Hence, I prefer to teach from the basics of the subject and I will make sure that my student understands the basics very well.
Also, the student should understand the subject rather than mugging up and writing the exams. During the teaching, I prefer to give tutorial problems and homework which will help the student to think about the subject more than testing his memory.
At last, I would like to say that I will be a teacher not to test his memory power but to improve his ability to think and I will guide them to solve any problem in the right direction.
