I'm currently a Teaching Associate in Satellite Applications at a University in Glasgow. I have a Bachelors in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, MSc and PhD in Radio Frequency Systems. I'm an excellent communicator and have a passion for encouraging and helping others in their academics so they can achieve their goals and dreams. I have successfully mentored many students and young professionals in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Taught university undergraduates and postgraduates through lectures, in the Engineering workshop and in tutorial classes in the last 5 years. Have been a a STEM ambassador for the last 3 years, mentoring and educating students voluntarily. Currently teaching postgraduate students and supervising undergraduate students.
I use a customer focus approach. I deliver the tutoring according to the unique requirements of the tutee. I believe in flexible learning in terms of time management, monitoring the progress of the tutee and acquiring feedback which I use to improve the learning experience. I also strongly believe in advising tutees in educational and career progression, advising on strategic or additional tools and resources the tutee needs to succeed not only in the short-term but long-term. I also believe that the tutee must have a satisfactory learning experience and I put results and progress ahead of routine sessions and payment for service. I insist on leaving tutees significantly improved, more competent and confident than when I first meet them. For, its not about me, but all about the tutee!
