After teaching in the classroom for 5 years, I realised that the traditional school setting limited my ability to give personalised attention to each student. So I left the classroom to create a happy, motivating, and thriving learning environment, where I could truly make a difference.

My first student, Zainab, struggled with science but doubled her scores from 40% to 80% in just six weeks. This and many other success stories confirmed that tutoring was my true calling.

I am now the Lead Tutor of an online tutoring Academy where we help students jump 2-3 grades in Maths and Science.

My mission goes beyond academic excellence; I help students develop the personal and interpersonal skills necessary for long-term success and fulfilment beyond the classroom.

I have now helped over 500 students significantly improve in a short span, many enhancing their grades by 2-3 or more levels.

I have over a decade of classroom teaching and tutoring experience. My goal is simple - to help students who struggle with science develop confidence and pass their exams.

I have worked with students from a range of backgrounds and abilities including tutoring students identified as underachieving. As a Qualified Teacher, I am fully conversant with all major exam boards (Edexcel, AQA and OCR). My specialisms are Biology and Chemistry.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are interleaved with questions and other assessment tasks as well as frequent end-of-unit exam questions. All this helps to assess the child’s progress and improve memory retention and learning.

Practising exam papers also helps consolidate learning and dissipate children’s fears around examinations.

My tutoring sessions are built largely around student’s weaknesses. I identify how each child learn best and teach them using more of that method. I also use everyday examples to explain key concepts which helps build confidence and increase the child’s love and understanding of the subject.
