I specialise in English Language, Literature, Creative Writing and Entrance Examinations.

I graduated from Bristol University with First Class Honours in English Literature and Drama and was awarded two prestigious academic prizes from the University in the fields of 19th and 20th Century Literature.

I have a 100% success rate in tutoring children for 11+ entrance exams, and also have extensive experience working with students at GCSE, A Level, Degree Level and beyond.

I have clear communication and teaching skills, and am always patient, thorough and engaging in my work with students.

Alongside tutoring, I work as a professional playwright and television writer.

Tutoring Experience

I have extensive experience tutoring at a variety of levels including primary, 11+, GCSE, A Level, Degree Level and Adult Learner English.

I have also worked as a reading assistant in primary schools, helping children to develop their skills in phonics, reading and comprehension.

I am experienced in tutoring students of all abilities, and work closely with each student to develop both their skills and confidence. I have a range of teaching resources and activities that ensure every lesson is stimulating and effective, and that the student is able to take charge of their own learning and discover their unique creative and literary talents. I believe that finding a passion for English is the first and most important ingredient in successful learning.
