I am a recent graduate in History of Art from Clare College, Cambridge University. I offer both in-person tuition across London and online sessions for greater flexibility. With A*A*A* in History of Art, English, and Music A-levels, along with an A grade in my Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), I have a strong academic background that I bring to my tutoring. Additionally, I have personal experience in what it takes to succeed in Oxbridge applications and can provide up-to-date advice and tailored support to help students navigate these competitive processes successfully.
I have extensive tutoring and teaching experience, having provided one-on-one A-level history tutoring (April-June 2024), where I improved a student's research, writing, and analytical skills, helping them raise their predicted D grade to a high A. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Highgate School (August 2020-April 2021), I worked with Years 7-9, tailoring lessons in music theory, composition, and history while leading extracurricular music groups and co-founding an online platform for virtual performances during the pandemic. Additionally, since July 2018, I have provided reliable childcare, fostering a safe, engaging environment and supporting children's academic growth through homework assistance and educational activities. I am also experienced in personal statement writing and interview techniques for Oxbridge applications, and I can support applicants with up-to-date knowledge on subject and college choices.
My tutoring style focuses on building students' confidence to improve their grades and passion for learning. From my Cambridge supervisions, I believe discussion-based learning is a great way to broaden ideas and develop academic opinions. By focusing on meaningful conversations, I aim to create an atmosphere where students not only grasp the material but also feel inspired to ask new questions and explore subjects more deeply. I am also experience in writing and practical exercises and encourage students to test themselves against exam board criteria to develop their exam skills alongside their knowledge.
