I am graduated from Moscow University as a mechanical engineer and always have been dedicated to Mathematics. My native language is Russian yet I speak fluent English.I am passionate about teaching Mathematics and very much enjoy working with children and young adults. I like the process of explaining theory, discovering new ways of problem solving and practical theory application. I always ensure complete understanding of a topic and take time to explain things in great detail.
My teaching experience in one of the best independent school in Moscow involved working with groups and supporting individual students, using my knowledge and ability to deliver it that resulted in a high percentage of top grades.
While tutoring in the UK, I worked with a large number of students preparing for GCSE/IGCSE, A-level and IB examinations. I have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the UK school curriculum in Mathematics and all of my tutees have achieved their required grades. The reference letters, I was provided with by parents and students, are expressing their high level of satisfaction with my teaching.
I understand that for some students maths is a 'must have' rather than a liked subject. This is a challenge I frequently encounter and successfully overcome by talking with both the parents and students. Parents believe by the knowledge I show in my subject and syllabus that I am capable of helping their child. Students tell me where they are having difficulties and I am able to find the method that will suit them and help them to progress. I like the process of explaining theory, discovering new ways of problem solving and practical theory application. I always ensure complete understanding of a topic and take time to explain things in great detail. Quickly their dislike and fear can be changed to a positive experience. As a tutor I have been able to increase grades by two sometimes three levels. I have also been told that other subject grades have increased as mathematical questions often appear in other papers, for example Chemistry or Physics.
