I am a native Spanish speaker from Peru. Having also lived in Spain for more than 10 years I have a unique perspective of the stylistic and vocabulary differences between European and Latin American Spanish dialects. I am friendly, patient, approachable, good-humoured, and dedicated to offering the best experience to my students.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience teaching on a voluntary basis in a U.K. secondary school, assisting A-level students in preparing for their exams. I also have lots of experience in Peru and Spain working in theatre groups and visiting schools raising awareness of topical matters through the medium of drama.

Tutoring Approach

I am a firm believer that confidence is the key to achieving your potential in any walk of life. My aim is to boost my students' confidence by working through things step by step until they feel capable of applying the content that we learn independently. The purpose of any language is to express your thoughts and feelings and so I encourage students to express themselves as much as possible without inhibitions, regardless of mistakes being made. Mistakes can only be corrected if they are being made to begin with! As I am also in the process of improving my English language, I can fully empathise with the difficulties faced learning a language and I am prepared to help you overcome these difficulties with a blend of patience, dedication and good humour!
