Tutoring Experience

I gained Qualified Teachers' Status (QTS) in June 2011 from the Institute of Education (IOE). Here, I did a PGCE in the Social Sciences, with my main focus being Psychology and Sociology.
I have a wealth of experience teaching the AQA Psychology examining board and have examined for AQA.
Over the years I've gained 10 years' experience as a head of department for Psychology and Sociology.
Our results for Sociology A level were consistently within the top 20% nationally, with 100% A*/A in 2019.
Results for Psychology have always been strong, too, exceeding national average for A*-E pass rate and A*-B.
Results for GCSE Psychology and Sociology have also been very good over the years with many students performing well, achieving grades 7-9, and staying on to exceed at A level.
Many of my students have gone on to fantastic universities to study various courses. For example, I have a student who gained an A* in Psychology who is now a trainee solicitor and another student who gained an A who is now completing her own Doctorate in Clinical Psychology! I also have many students that achieved A/A*s in Sociology that are now completing apprenticeships and studying towards other qualifications, such as Law and History.
