I am an experienced Maths teacher and former head of Mathematics at a successful high school. I have worked as a GCSE and A-Level examiner for several exam boards. I also have experience of tutoring on the Governments National Tuition Programme.
I have an enhanced DBS check certificate.

Tutoring Experience

I am passionate about Mathematics and, with over 30 years of experience, have a good insight into the common misconceptions students have in understanding Mathematics.
Through my GCSE and A-Level examiner roles I have a strong insight into the common mistakes and errors students make in exams.
As a tutor on the Government's National Tuition Programme I have built up experience of tutoring online and face to face.
I have vast experience of teaching students from 11 to 18 years of age across all ability levels.

Tutoring Approach

After a successful career in teaching I am now committed to working as a tutor and helping individuals to secure the best grade possible in their exams. It is crucial that students understand what they are doing in Maths. My aim is to support students in developing a strong understanding of the concepts they come across in Maths. Once students have developed an understanding it is essential to support them in applying this knowledge to the solution of problems.
