Tessa

Hello! My name is Tessa and I'm based in Manchester. I graduated with a First in for my Bachelors of Music (Hons) degree at the Royal Northern College of Music and have Qalified Teacher Status from my Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) training with Specialist Instrumental Teaching. Starting September 2024, I will be starting my Masters in Music. Before my degree, I graduated from school completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme with HL Music.

I'm an easy-going and positive person, will definitely make lessons enjoyable and ensure that you get the most out of them.

Tutoring Experience

I am a singing/piano teacher. I taught one-on-one singing lessons to younger persons aged 8-10 and prepared them for their ABRSM Music examinations with a 100% pass rate. With my degree and background, I can tutor students for GCSE/A levels/IB Music preparation. I am have experience as a secondary teacher so I have a strong understanding of the national curriculum for music, am able to support GCSE pupils and provide support for BTEC vocational coursework. As a Masters student, my schedule can be pretty flexible depending on the week so I will do my best to accommodate you as best I can.

My teaching approach is very versatile to your needs. I am able to state facts and make the learning enjoyable, effective and applicable, and tailored to a pace you are comfortable with.
