I have recently retired from teaching at an outstanding OFSTED graded sixth form college. My students achieved within the top 10% of the country. I am now available to tutor A level biology students in a subject I remain passionate about.

Tutoring Experience

I have 22 years' teaching experience within local sixth form colleges and have taught both AQA and OCR A level biology specifications. I have a biomedical sciences background in microbiology and prior to teaching worked within the NHS.

Tutoring Approach

Initially I will look at past assessments with you to identify gaps in knowledge and to assess your technique. I will then tailor lessons to meet your needs. My aim will be to help you to understand concepts that you have found challenging in your lessons and to increase your confidence in approaching questions by applying techniques enabling you to identify the question requirement.
