I am a first year medical student at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School. I completed my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 2023 and achieved AAA with an A* in my EPQ. Having completed my A levels, I understand the difficulty of A-level students and can help you learn from my successes, mistakes, and experiences.
I was a teaching assistant at a secondary school. I volunteered at St. John Ambulance, as a youth helper, teaching young children and cadets. These experiences have provided me with valuable skills, vital for tutoring such as excellent communication & accepting feedback, and acting on it. I have always been passionate about teaching and helping students grasp difficult concepts by using different strategies, best suited for the student.
In our first lesson, I will try to understand your strengths and weaknesses i.e., understand the topics that you struggle with and you are confident in.
We can then discuss how you best learn and address the specific part of the topic you struggle with in. For example, if you struggle with organic mechanisms, we can identify what are you struggling with in particular for example, is it the concept or the vast number of organic mechanisms and then take steps to tackle it. Your feedback from my lessons will be used to fuel my next lesson with you.
We will also be practicing questions, especially from past papers, to aid your learning. I will assign you some questions after assessing your level, for you to do individually and then discuss the answers for it in the next lesson, to help you learn from your mistakes. I can also share with you some tips & tricks and resources I used to help me achieve my A-level grades.
