I am a student studying medicine at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary University in East London.
I am very enthusiastic about teaching at any level. Having been through GCSEs and A Levels fairly recently and 4 years into a medical degree, I understand the pressures of exams and the course structures and I am very happy to help in any way I can, whether through teaching or going through past papers. Whatever suits your needs. I am very patient and dedicated and am willing to spend as much time as you need to understand your subject
I studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A level, all to the level of grade A, so I feel I have the qualifications to teach these subjects with confidence.
I am based near Stratford but am happy to travel around London.
Although I have a varied university timetable, I am willing to be flexible and spend as much time as you need to learn and understand.
Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.
I have been tutoring for a number of years now and have experience teaching biology, chemistry and maths at GCSE and A Level. As a fourth year medical student, I have experience in learning with others and teaching my peers and discussing and simplifying difficult concepts.
Whilst at school I spent a considerable amount of time mentoring younger students; specifically I helped with reading skills.
I also spent some time volunteering in a local Primary school, assisting with classroom activities and working with children on a one-to-one level.
I have a very adaptable approach to tutoring and will work around the specific needs and style of working of each student.
I like to approach each topic by firstly understanding the level of knowledge that the student has. From there, we can build on this knowledge by working through material before moving on to questions. I find the best method is to work through problems together initially and then give the student an opportunity to challenge themselves to answer further questions with my guidance if needed.
I like to ensure we go through past exam questions (particularly for GCSE and A Level) to ensure the student begins to understand exam technique from an early point.
