** 1 space remaining for academic year 2024/25 **
Welcome! I am a full-time GP but specialise in tutoring GCSE Science in my spare time.
I only take on 2 students per academic year to ensure that you receive my full attention and energy!
I was awarded my medical degree by King’s College London and graduated top of class at the University of Bristol with a 1st class distinction in Law and Medical Ethics.
I work hard and go above and beyond to help my students reach their maximal potential and achieve the best possible results.
I have specialised in GCSE science for many years and have extensive experience in all of the main exam boards for combined and individual sciences.
My partner is a secondary school teacher with access to the newest materials and exam updates.
My approach is tailored to the most recent academic curriculum and changes to exam structure.
I take a holistic approach to my work. I like to think I am young and engaging! I am someone with genuine love for science and how it explains the world around us. My passion is sharing that enthusiasm with my students, hoping that some of it rubs off!
My end goal is to inspire and encourage self-motivation, confidence and long lasting curiosity that will stay with my students for the rest of their lives.
Of course, university applications have become increasingly competitive in recent years and achieving good grades at GCSE is essential.
With this in mind, I introduce past paper questions early and emphasise exam technique.
Achieving top grades at GCSE requires an understanding of how to ‘play the game’. I encourage hard work, but I also teach how to ‘work smart’ - I have been doing this long enough to know that the same questions come up every year, just worded slightly differently!
The aim for all of my students is to have completed all of the historical past papers before their exam, and to have enjoyed doing it (yes, it is possible!)
