I am a fourth year medical student at Cambridge, having graduated with a first class BA in undergraduate medicine in 2022. I achieved 3 As at A-level and 11 A's at GCSE. I speak two languages–English and Spanish– and I am always to keen to learn. I am an active sportsman who runs and plays both rugby and football.
I have been involved in tutoring for the last five years, mostly on an informal basis but I have moved onto online tutoring in recent months. I have taught science to students of all ages and all abilities from KS3 to A-level.
I have given a number of talks to my previous school, Simon Langton Grammar Schools for Boys, about university applications, with a focus on medicine and Oxbridge in particular. In addition to these larger talks, I was a mentor for several students at the school, responsible for guiding them through the application process to study medicine and/or at Oxbridge. This involved me giving them giving them advice on their personal statements as well as performing mock interviews.
I have also been involved in designing and delivering medicine-based curricula for intensive care nurses within the field of physiology.
I adopt an interactive approach to teaching in which the student is encouraged to ask questions and to probe deeper into problems. I often make use of visual aids and diagrams in order to help students visualise abstract concepts. I am able to adapt the level at which I am teaching to individual needs, from stretching students in some areas to providing more support in other areas.
