I am a qualified teacher who teaches maths and science to GCSE level, specialising in chemistry at a-level. I come from a family of science educators, tutoring is essentially in my blood! I am a driven individual who works hard to do the best for their clients - I aim to go above and beyond.
I spent 2.5 years teaching A-level chemistry at Wyke Sixth Form college as a full-time member of staff, having previously completed a PGCE at the University of East Anglia. During my university days I also tutored peers and assisted my mum who was a chemistry tutor herself.
My approach is focused on teaching a student how to deal with a problem, how you should think and how you should lay out your thoughts on the page. I work primarily with mini-whiteboards and exam-questions, with a keen focus on exam-technique and performing well on assessments. Knowing the science and being able to answer questions on it in an exam are two different things - I aim to teach both!
