I currently only have availability in the daytime, which would suit home-schooled pupils or those with flexible timetables.
I have worked in the primary education sector for 20 years. I have been a qualified teacher since 2008 and have worked in all year groups from 1-6 (ages 5 - 11). I have specialised in maths mastery, but I am also very confident in teaching all core subjects at primary level and supporting students as they transition into secondary. I have excellent subject knowledge of Year 6 SATs. I am particularly experienced in working with primary-aged pupils with low confidence or anxiety.
3 years as a Primary Maths Leader in 2 different schools (state school in England and international school in the UAE).
13 years as a class teacher.
10 years experience of tutoring (in person and remotely on Zoom).
4 years as teaching assistant.
My overall aim as a teacher is to develop a student's confidence and enjoyment. I help students to see the value in learning and to understand their own strengths and weakness. From there we can begin a journey to develop deeper understanding of core concepts and explore subjects in more detail and more fun! I use a wide range of methods and resources to tailor the learning to each individual - everyone learns differently.
Whatever the purpose of the sessions, I will work with you and your child to create a bespoke learning environment to hit that goal.
