Hello, I am a lead physics teacher at a large FE College and current A level examiner for a leading exam board. I am very keen to see that my students achieve the success of which they are capable in physics. I am very passionate about the subject and believe this enthusiasm really helps my students to succeed in physics. The majority of my teaching is spent delivering the physics A level to our learners.
The vast majority of my tutoring takes place online via skype / Microsoft teams. The sessions are conducted via a browser based interactive white board and I use a tablet that enables me to write directly to the screen. The sessions are fully interactive where resources are directly loaded into whiteboard and answers can be written into screen and saved for future reference. I can also provide resources prior to and after each session to reinforce progress.
I also have tutored over 80 students to success at A level and GCSE physics, including the preparation of candidates for Oxbridge examinations and interviews. Many of my students have initially lacked confidence in the subject, but with with a good work ethic, all have seen their grades increase, and in some instances by up to three grade boundaries.
I am also very keen to emphasize to my students the importance of learning definitions since typically 30% of the marks available, are awarded for just being able to memorise these.
I am happy to be flexible to best suit the learner's needs. Typically, I would want to spend the session reviewing a topic by going through the theory and then working through several examples. I also like to set homeworks based on the topics covered which I am happy to mark and comment on prior to the following session (this is included in the fee) .
I have written a complete set of AS and A2 resources that I use as part of my teaching. These include work books on each topic which includes plenty of practice questions, end of topic tests, and past papers for all the major boards.
Under the resources tab I have attached an example of one of the workbooks used in our teaching
