Tom boosted the confidence of my Y11 son in the run up to GCSEs. Coaching via WebEx worked well and my son found Tom's teaching style approachable and effective. The support and practice materials supplied after each session were a useful extension of the sessions and all together helped fill in gaps in his learning. Highly recommended!

I’ve had Tom for a year in preparation for my A level physics. During this time we went through the whole syllabus in depth covering everything in more detail than I received in class. Toms knowledge is exceptional and he has a clear understanding of what’s needed for the exam, with a wealth of resources for an array of exam boards helping to cater for your needs. I had tutoring over the internet, which was a new experience to me, but it turned out to be just as beneficial, if not more so, than face to face as all the resources can be easily displayed and annotated in just a few clicks… allowing us to cover more in the time. Tom does provide additional study to do in-between sessions which I found really helped me to improve as you discover your weaker areas. Tom marks the work, providing feedback and step by step solutions allowing you to strengthen those topics. I would thoroughly recommend Tom as a tutor as he goes above and beyond to help you succeed; I can really see a significant difference in my ability in this year from where I was last year so thank you Tom! Tom has taught my son throughout his A-level year. We found Tom was a friendly, patient, reliable and knowlegeable teacher. Because of his experienced teaching, Dave has managed to catch up with the syllabus very quickly this year. We would recommmend Tom to any students who need a good brush-up of the subject. He was very useful for helping with topics that I found particularly challenging and also consistently point ed out mistakes you are making and explained a better method of going about a question. He was also reliable.

Tom has provided AS Physics tuition for my daughter over the last year. Tom is an excellent tutor - he has a nice manner and is good at building confidence in the student. My daughter has really enjoyed the sessions, and feels that she has made excellent progress with him. Tom is totally reliable, and in addition to delivering well prepared sessions, he regularly sends questions and revision sheets etc. I recommend him without reservation.

I could not rate Tom any higher. He is an extremely knowledgeable, organised & reliable tutor. My daughter felt physics was her weakest subject but after Tom teaching her she has gained great confidence & knowledge in the subject.

Fully conversant with the exam syllabus and always very well prepared for tutorials, so no time wasting. Assesses student’s needs very quickly and consistently takes students through the whole syllabus in a well-planned and thoroughly organised way, with well-prepared lessons ensuring that the student has a thorough understanding of the syllabus and provision of worksheets and help with exam technique. My daughter is taking her AS Physics exam in May 2016 & 3 weeks prior to her exam it was apparent that she has significant knowledge gaps.
Dr Tom has been brilliant & achieved so much in a short space of time. Imogen's understanding has increased and her confidence has improved. Dr Tom has sent through work & questions to support the tutor session so that she can practice the exam technique. Imogen has worked on these & now believes she can get the grade and succeed.

Tom is a fantastic tutor. He has been extremely helpful for my son who is studying A level phyics and given him a much better understanding of the course… He is very reliabel, punctual and polite . I cannot speak highly enough about him. I would definately recommend Tom.

My son enjoyed his first session with Tom, finding him very knowledgeable and organised.

My son has found Tom a pleasure to work with. He is very good at listening to any problems a student may have and then working through them with the student until they are resolved. This is strengthened by a thorough knowledge of the relevant syllabus and exam technique. Not only does Tom have excellent subject knowledge, he is also able to communicate complex ideas clearly using a variety of methods. Comprehensive feedback is always provided to both student and parent. My son is retaking a year to improve his AS grade of a D in physics. After about 6 months of tutoring by Tom, he is consistently achieving A grades in school assessments which is very encouraging progress.

Tom has been absolutely fantastic helping my son to prepare for both his physics AS, and now, his physics A2. Before Tom came on board, my son was lacking confidence with his physics and in danger of becoming demoralised--and the fact that he wasn't doing maths didn't exactly help. Since Tom started working with him, my son is now 'getting it' with the physics and recently had a really good result at school. This was thoroughly praised, further boosting my son's confidence and motivation to try harder. The word 'thank you' is not enough!

Tom really helped me out a few weeks before my physics exams during the Summer, where he provided assistance going through past papers and specimen questions for each unit, approaching the task of helping me in a calm manner, allowing me to take my time when needed, and offers slight hints towards the answers when it looked like I needed it, and will then offer a thorough explanation that suddenly causes certain aspects to 'click' and make sense, when I was struggling beforehand.
Overall both a great guy and wonderful tutor, highly recommended!

Tom is a very reliable, patient and kind tutor who has been able to help me focus on my weak areas and write a revision plan. He is also helping me develop my exam technique and has sent me material by email between sessions, to help me cover as much as possible before the May/June exams. He is very familiar with the syllabus and is able to explain concepts in different ways, to make everything clearer. I now feel more confident and am very happy with his support.
