I am an author and teacher who has had a varied life over the past few years, from working as a farm-hand, landscaper and plumber to working as an academic writer.
I have a talent for explaining complex and abstract ideas in a way which is simple and lucid.
I have worked primarily as an ESL teachers but during this time, I have taught numerous students about philosophy. I had taught lessons on specific philosophical theories, by using the Socratic Method, or by challenging and developing the ideas and critical-thinking skills of my students.
I have also written dozens of academic essays in philosophy during my time as a professional writer.
I have also created a number of philosophy courses for Udemy that have received very positive feedback.
Learning philosophy is about engaging your own creative and rational faculties. And so, my approach to teaching involves a number of techniques, from asking questions and exploring answers, to guiding my students with the proper question, to explaining and re-framing the same ideas in a variety of different ways until it becomes clear to the student.
The exact mixture of these techniques always depends on the particular concept that is being covered and the question that needs to be answered.
