I am a former Head of Business and Economics and an experienced examiner, where I mark GCSE Business and A level Business papers for the major exam boards on an annual basis. I use this experience and my knowledge on exam techniques to help students have a good understanding of the demands of each question, let them know what the examiners are looking for.
For my BA, I majored in both Marketing and Human Resources at University, and my postgraduate degree was from Durham University.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in schools, sixth forms and FE Colleges, for the last 16 years so have extensive experience of Business courses. In addition to this, I have worked as an examiner for the last 10 years.

Tutoring Approach

I run online lessons only, via zoom. I quickly gain a good understanding of student’s knowledge and essay writing skills and tailor my approach to the specific needs of each individual.
We will review the business content required on the specification, and the questions that the exam board may ask, which gives students confidence in approaching some of the trickiest exam questions.
Working for exam boards means I am able to guide my students on how to gain full marks for each type of question approached.
Having good business knowledge and exam techniques are key elements for exam success.
