I have been a professional musician since leaving the Royal College of Music in London playing clarinet, flute and saxophones. I have been teaching full time in the classroom for the past 15 years working as a Director of Music in both primary and secondary settings. I have taught most GCSE and A Level boards over the years and my results have been consistently 9-6 at GCSE and A*- C at A Level. I offer tuition for GCSE and A Level music for all exam boards and theory lessons. I enjoy teaching both analysis and composition for both GCSE and A Level.
I have taught most GCSE and A Level boards over the years and I currently examine for Eduqas GCSE music, having previously examined for both Edexcel and AQA at GCSE and A Level.
My approach to teaching is one of encouragement, clear communication and enjoyment of learning. I love to pass on my passion for making music, and my lessons are pupils focused, working with each individual on their own personal goals. I always strive for the very best for all my pupils, regardless of ability or standard, but enjoyment is always at the forefront of all my lessons.
