I am a PhD qualified mathematician from M.I.T with knowledge of physics and chemistry at the graduate level. I have about three years experience of tutoring mathematics, physics and chemistry in the Gloucestershire area and extensive experience of teaching undergraduates. I was a research fellow at Exeter University last year. I hold distinctions from Manchester, MSc Logic and the Foundations of Computation, 1997, Cambridge, Part 3 of the Mathematical Tripos, 1998, and Exeter, MSc Financial Mathematics, 2013. I am currently living in Cheltenham.
High school English teacher in Surkhet, Nepal; 1992-1993
Teaching Assistant at M.I.T, tutoring undergraduates in mathematics and physics, 1998-2002
Teacher of English as a Foreign Language, Perugia and Rome, Italy, 2006-2008
A-level mathematics and physics tutor, A+ tutors, Cheltenham, 2008-2011
Part Time University Tuition, Oxford University, 2011
Lecturing and Tutor, Exeter University, 2013-2015
My area of research is in the geometry of algebraic curves, and applications to physics and chemistry. This has allowed me to develop a highly intuitive approach to teaching in these areas. My papers in mathematics, physics and chemistry are available on request. I have some experience of online tutoring via Skype and Stoodle.
