We are really impressed with Umer’s tuition and have been very lucky to find him. He is very thoughtful in all aspects of pushing his students to succeed. He checks all gaps in the subject and organises the material to tackle those. He is very experienced and knows how to build up your level depending on the weak points. The lesson are tailored to your child’s needs. In my case my son missed school due to mental health difficulties which were unexpected. That set boundaries for him not being overwhelmed with stress or burning out with studying. On the reverse he became more laid back in his daily routine. Umer was the only person who can put him in routine and mind set to work. During the A levels revision he rings him every morning for a quick check to ask him what is he planning to cover from the material given by him, and later see him for a lesson. My son has a great support from him, and he is very grateful.

Umer has been a great Tutor over the summer helping me improve my Physics predicted grade I can highly recommend Umer as an A-Level Physics Tutor his flexible teaching style means he can adjust to what is best for the student overall has really helped with getting ready for my exam at the end of the summer being able to help with both exam technique and knowledge.

My son had lacked two years of GCSE and had far fewer hours of Physics and Chemistry in the first term of Year 12 than his peers. He was very very behind and his teachers recommended that he should repeat Year 12 if he wanted top scores to apply for universities.
I contacted Umer in late January. The starting point was a B in Physics and a C in Chemistry. The target was to get back to A* scores within 4 months before the AS exams. Umer and my son finally had only 2 months and a week because the AS exams took place earlier than expected.
My son's AS results just came. He received an A in Physics and an A in Chemistry. For those not familiar to A level marking standard, A is the highest score given in AS exams. From a pupil risking to repeat the year, my son resumed his top places in school. His teachers said the leap he made was phenomenal.

I can’t recommended Umer highly enough. Umer swooped in and helped organise my sons workload and revision timetable across three subjects for International A Levels. It was quite an undertaking and very last minute from our side but Umer took on the challenge and met it head on.

He started to work with Matteo in November after we explored three different alternative options . We were desperate .We couldn’t understand why Matteo’s grades weren’t improving even if everyone was telling us he was very bright.

After few months we found out he has ADHD. The way Umer was teaching him was the one recommended but the psychiatrist. He did it after the first lesson and without the assessment.

Really good tutor, knows how to break down a problem/topic in a way that is easy to understand. He also has a good study plan to prepare you for any exams that you might have coming up. Any questions that I've come back with so far, he has been able to help me solve them for myself, and fully understand the concepts behind the questions. He also creates a comfortable and non-judgemental atmosphere that really lets me ask any type of question I want without feeling stupid.

Can't say enough good things about Umer. He's made a significant impact on my daughter's progress and confidence in maths, physics and chemistry and is clearly a patient and engaging teacher which is so important for teenagers (pretty remarkable given everything has been done online). It's very clear he's thought about and prepared for each tutoring session, and that there's a long term strategy at work in respect of preparation for GCSE.

Umer also communicates well with us: an initial assessment of strenghts and weaknesses, followed by ongoing feedback, and always happy to answer any questions we have. Our son needed help in his IB maths. We picked Umer from a number of possibilities. Our son was asked (before the lessons started) what he wanted to get out of the sessions and what areas needed to be concentrated on.

The approach to each lesson was very well planned. When further clarification was needed there was patience, lots of it!! At the end of the lessons our son was given homework.

Our son advised that he found his style of teaching to be focussed and structured. which in turn gave him more confidence in the subject going forward.

We found him on first tutors after we got our kid's spring report (year 12) in which grades had gone down ( we could say we were in trouble). Umer covered both Maths & Physics, within a limited time we could see huge difference. Our kid's confidence and performances increased and scored very high marks in test and end of year exams. Umer quickly identified the gaps, weakness and strength and worked wonderfully around that.

Umer has been an excellent tutor for my son. Thorough and very well prepared he has been able to quickly diagnose gaps and areas of weakness and develop a tailored plan that not only addresses these but also engages my son in his learning.

We first engaged Umer as a tutor in Maths and Physics at the start of my son’s Sixth Form journey when he was still considering what subjects to choose. I was very impressed by his thoroughness and dedication, so much so that although my son in the end chose different subjects, he was nevertheless keen to have Umer back again this year to assist in his preparation for the upcoming Lower Sixth Form end-of-year exams. My son has now had a number of Economics lessons with Umer as he wanted to focus particularly on his essay-writing skills. Umer went beyond this to identify where there were gaps in my son’s understanding of the subject matter itself that also needed to be addressed. Umer’s remit was to Tutor my son in Business Studies GCSE. To instil clarity and confidence in my son who did not fully believe in his own ability to achieve success. The workload and speed at which the curriculum was being taught was high.
Umer came in towards the end of April so quite late into the year and I was loosing hope. His teaching was consistent calm and repetitive (as many times as needed) to anchor home the points.
