Una's Feedback

Una is very experienced and knowledgeable with English teaching. Our child’s literacy skills have developed considerably (improved by two grades) within one month under Una's care. We are extremely grateful for Una's patience and efforts in helping our child to develop the skills and confidence that he can immediately apply to his mock examination and the forthcoming GCSE examination.

Already in the short time Una has been tutoring our son we have seen his confidence increase and marks beginning to improve. We thoroughly appreciate Una'a time and energy in helping improve our sons English skills. We however acknowledge that there is still some journey to go we are encouraged by what we have seen so far.

Incredibly thorough and very encouraging. My son (who was reluctant to have tuition) enjoyed his first session and asked for more. His confidence is increasing as his English teacher immediately noticed a difference in his attitude and praised his contributions in class. Would definitely recommend.

Una makes your mission her mission. She is very dedicated and tailors the tutoring sessions specifically for you. She also does a lot of work outside the sessions providing everything you could possibly need and more. I would highly recommend her.

Una is simply outstanding. Highly skilled, experienced and professional. She is that magical combination of someone who has high expectations but is very kind and tunes in quickly to a child's learning style.

Una was very organized and quick to understand our son's challenges (being a very, very, achingly slow writer). She got him up to speed in time for the GCSE exams with a combination of tutoring sessions and work to do at home. As well as revising and explaining in more detail the GCSE texts, she provided extra texts to study and take examples from, building up his confidence.

After his exams, he came home quite proud of himself for having written three to four times the amount he would have normally have written, within the allotted time, and confident of having responded completely to the questions.

GCSE results arrive in August.

I cannot recommend Una enough for any A level English student. I take the challenging Pre - U English course at school and was particularly struggling with the poetry element of our course. For the 6 months that Una had been helping me my grades and confidence improved dramatically, her willingness to go the 'extra mile' makes her stand out from any other tutor I had seen. I cannot thank Una enough for making me enjoy English again and boosting my grades from B/C to potentially an A.

Una is great! She has kindly and firmly turned our son's lack of confidence in his ability to learn and speak Spanish into an enthusiasm to push himself and increasing precision and detail in both his written and spoken Spanish… after only 3 lessons so far! What a gem!

When looking for a tutor for my daughter, I knew Una was an exceptional teacher as she had taught me! She inspires and motivates through her own enthusiasm and determination. She is exceptionally well prepared and makes optimum use of the time she spends during the lessons. My daughter is clearly benefitting enormously from her input and.enjoys her time with Una.
