I am an undergraduate currently studying Medicine at the University of Cambridge, constantly developing upon the scientific concepts I first learnt about in school. Being passionate about the sciences, I enjoy helping students further their own understanding and have done so whilst tutoring over the past few years.
I first began tutoring GCSE students in maths and further maths within school whilst in year 12 as a volunteer. Since then I have tutored privately in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths up to A-level.
As a slight aside, I have recently been involved over the past few months in a mentoring scheme for year 11 students aimed at increasing access to the University for Cambridge for BME students. Throughout this programme, I offered advice and my experiences with the application process to Cambridge and other medical schools and I am always happy to share this with any prospective medical students in our sessions!
Tutoring one-on-one, I grasp how a unique individual studies and adjust my teaching method to best suit their learning style. I believe building a good rapport with the student is important in not only discovering how to best communicate and explain concepts to them but also in understanding how they, as an individual, think about things and problem solve.
