I offer specialised and personalised tuition for STEM students of all levels. Whether you are aiming for a specific grade, preparing for an exam, or simply want to improve your skills, I can tailor my teaching to suit your needs and goals.

As a passionate Physics student, I have a deep understanding of the subject and a knack for explaining it to others. I have learned to master the concepts by teaching myself first, and then sharing my knowledge with my students. I also know how challenging exam technique can be, and how it can affect your performance. That’s why I focus on helping you develop the best strategies to ace your tests and overcome any difficulties.

I keep in touch with the parents or guardians of my students (if they wish) and update them on the progress and achievements of their children.

I have experience in teaching students of all ages, from 6 to 18, with a strong focus on A-level and GCSE courses. I enjoy working with different types of learners and finding the most effective ways to help them succeed.

Tutoring Approach

I teach online lessons using Meet (or Zoom if preferable), with a full headset and webcam. I also use virtual interactive whiteboard software (Jamboard or Microsoft Onenote) to enhance my teaching, which allows both me and the student to edit and participate. All the notes we create are saved to the cloud and accessible to the student at any time, even if they do not take their own notes. I use exam board resources and past papers extensively, and assign homework based on them. I also use exam-oriented teaching methods to improve the student’s exam technique and confidence.

My typical hour lesson structure is:
- 0-10 minutes: Covering homework, and addressing any difficulties
- 10-40 minutes: Covering content and concepts
- 40-55 minutes: Practicing and applying the knowledge
- 55-60 minutes: Asking and answering questions, and setting homework tasks
I find having 2 hour lessons boosts productivity per hour, allowing focusing on the question and content part of the lesson.

I personalise my teaching method according to the student’s needs and goals:
- For students who are struggling with a subject, I explain the fundamentals from the ground up, as often there are only a few gaps in their understanding that prevent them from grasping the whole subject. This can change their performance and attitude towards the subject.
- For students who are aiming for the top level, I focus on exam techniques and give them many tips and tricks to maximise their marks. (Sadly, this is often the most important factor in achieving high grades.) I also happily supply super-curricular materials, if requested.
