I am a second year student studying a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Physics at University College London. I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in 2022 where I achieved a 42/45 total score. I achieved a 7 in Higher Level Mathematics Analysis and Approaches and a 7 in Higher Level Physics. I have always worked hard at school and enjoyed my studies, particularly STEM subjects. Having a strong background in Mathematics and the Sciences, I am keen to tutor younger students who would like some help in their subjects, whether they are preparing for exams or just starting their GCSE/IB/A Level courses. Although I studied the International Baccalaureate at sixth form, I have covered all A-Level Physics, Maths and Further Maths content between school and university.

Tutoring Experience

During my time at sixth form, I regularly tutored students in Mathematics and Physics at the secondary school level as part of a school project with Project Rousseau. I was also an English tutor to Italian students. Through providing regular tutoring and academic guidance, students were able to progressively improve throughout our sessions and achieve their target grades in exams. My style of teaching and attention to detail ensured students were comfortable with the entire syllabus and each type of exam question. I am confident that with my knowledge and passion for these subjects I can deliver this tailored approach to students on this platform.
Having completed GCSEs and the IB under the new syllabus, I am confident with all content and I am familiar with the best exam techniques. I scored 7s in both my IB Higher Level Mathematics and Higher Level Physics Internal Assessments as well as an A in my IB Extended Essay, so I would be happy to help with these too if necessary.

Tutoring Approach

I have detailed notes for each topic and many additional practice exercises and presentations. My approach is to go through Past Paper questions using an online whiteboard. Going through the more difficult questions step-by-step ensures all aspects of the most challenging topics are covered. If there is a lack of knowledge in certain topics, we can revise the content before attempting increasingly difficult past paper questions. Using an online whiteboard ensures the students can write down our workings during the lesson and use these notes as additional revision material. I am available for 1 or 2 hour lessons, as many times a week as required by the student. I am very flexible and can adapt to the student’s needs.
