Vanna tutored my child in A-level Italian - they took the exam after one academic year of lessons and received an A. Thank you, Vanna! She was always on time, unfailingly professional, had lessons prepared and knew exactly where to focus her tuition. She's an excellent teacher who builds a good rapport with her student.

Vanna is a lovely tutor. She has been helping my daughter with her A Level Italian for the past month. Vanna is a very positive and enthusiastic teacher who has managed to put my daughter at ease conversationally and support her on all aspects of the curriculum.

Only had 2 skype lessons, so we're really assessing each other. But, Vanna seems to be able to pitch her Italian to my level of skill and I have already learnt new words and expressions. She teaches Italian the way the Italians speak it - not necessarily text book stuff. I think I shall gain immensely from her tuition.

Vanna is very patient with our almost complete beginner status. She brings a variety of resources and listens to what we actually want to learn, and teaches Italian as Italians use their language. Highly recommended.

Vanna is a great teacher - enthusiastic and encouraging and giving just the right level of grammatical detail but obviously very knowledgeable. Happy to work as fast or as steadily as you want to learn.

Vanna is a lovely person and an excellent language tutor. I feel very lucky to have found her. She is dedicated to her craft and takes the trouble to explain things fully. She gives me confidence to attempt the correct pronunciation and accent. She doesn’t rush you but allows you to progress at your own comfortable speed and gives praise when it’s due for trying hard which gives you a little ‘lift’. I have only had a few lessons but I’m surprised at how much I have learned in a short space of time. I would certainly recommend Vanna as a language teacher. Grazie mille Vanna.

Vanna is an excellent teacher of Italian for me as a very late beginner and has worked with me patiently to ensure I achieve my goal of speaking correct and polite Italian. While Vanna is strict on pronunciation and written work this attention to detail is paying off. On a recent trip to Rome it was assumed 'I was a local Roman' as a result of my excellent accent and pronunciation!

Vanna is exceptionally knowledgeable in her subject and has a great way of making her student feel confident, expertly bringing out the very best in them. Tutorials are always fun and challenging and I greatly look forward to our sessions each week. I am speaking basic Italian to Italians with more confidence than I ever thought possible. Vanna is polite but firm, expert and fun. Working with Vanna is the best decision I ever made!

Vanna had been extremely helpful and supportive in lessons, the teaching style is dynamic and we vary between using imagery, text and voice conversations which keeps it fresh. I feel like I am making really good progress and I am getting the support that I need to continue!

Friendly and conscientious - a pleasure to learn with

Vanna has been teaching my children Spanish for the last 5 months. She is a wonderful teacher and is great and very patient with children. Vanna is very engaging and her lessons are great fun. She is always respectful and punctual and has also been very flexible in accommodating our needs in terms of timing for the session. The boys have made good progress and are looking forward to their next lesson with Vanna. I would not hesitate in recommending Vanna to anyone.

Great introductory lesson

Vanna is a great tutor, able to make switches mid lesson to accommodate the diverse needs of me and my wife. I am starting to represent an Italian company and want to be able to converse with my clients. My wife is of Italian extraction but has never been formally taught the language. It is a challenging combination for any tutor, and Vanna copes with really well with it.
We both enjoy the sessions and feel like we have already made progress, even though we have only been working with her for less than a month. So if you are looking for a flexible and accommodating tutor, who can work on vocab, grammar but also the practical use of language, then Vanna is a great choice for you.

My wife and I have had two, two hour lessons of eight so far and we are finding Vanna very helpful, she has a wonderful teaching ability and is pleasant and punctual too.

Looking forward to the further six lessons and more beyond.
