I am an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who is passionate about science, specifically biological sciences, and keen to pass on my enthusiasm to my students. I am an outgoing and active person and enjoy spending my free time outdoors.
Throughout the 10 years I have been teaching I have taught a range of subjects and specifications to a wide age range from 11 to adults of different abilities. Subjects taught include General science (biology, chemistry and physics), GCSE science, iGCSE biology, A level and IB biology, A level science and society, BTEC Applied Science. I have 6 years experience of 1:1 tuition covering the above subjects.
I use our first session to get to know each other and identify your areas of strength and areas that you need particular help with. I try to plan creative and enjoyable lessons which allow us to openly discuss the concepts covered and aim to establish a relaxed atmosphere where you feel happy to ask any questions. In addition to covering the content I also ensure there are opportunities to practice exam style questions and exam skills so you feel fully prepared for the exam(s).
