I am currently an educator in one of the best universities in the world (top 3 in the UK). I have a PhD in Engineering and have knowledge in diverse areas including Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. I have extensive experience in teaching students from diverse backgrounds including neurodivergent students (Dyslexia, ADHD, etc.). I have excelled throughout my educational career and won several awards including Medal for best academic performance (equivalent to Summa cum Laude).
I use various strategies to identify gaps in conceptual understanding and reinforce concepts to ensure that students are able to understand and apply these concepts when solving problems.
I have been tutoring Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology to students. I have also tutored several neurodiverse students. I am approachable and develop a personalised learning strategy for students.
I have extensive experience in mentoring and teaching students of all levels including school and university.
My tutoring approach involves providing educational support as well as ensuring overall development of growth mindset and resilience which are key to professional development and success in life.
I assess student understanding in first meeting by employing a diagnostic test tailored to identify topics requiring attention. I offer guided support to students and provide access to a bank of relevant questions for practice as I believe practice is key to learning. I also provide feedback and use a targeted approach to enhance student learning all the while ensuring that students feel confident in their ability to learn new concepts.
