I am an Engineering consultant with a few years of experience in industry and over 10 years of experience in tutoring young people.
I started tutoring when I was 18, and I haven't stopped since. My academic achievements underscore my proficiency, having obtained an A* grade in GCSE Maths, A*A* grades in A-Level Maths and Further Maths, a 2:1 in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Sheffield, and finally a joint PhD in Maths and Engineering.
During my PhD, I worked on using Machine Learning and AI to predict turbulent fluid flow.
Alongside my thesis, I also had a substantial teaching responsibility in teaching Mathematics and Engineering undergraduates at all levels. I also ran workshops for undergraduates to help them improve their maths skills where I received a commendation from the head of the department for my ability and effort.
Currently I work as an Engineering consultant who uses Maths and Engineering to predict flooding across the UK and help companies and housing associations to minimise their flood risk. I worked on interesting projects such as Thames Tideway and NEOM, as well as many small scale projects for UK water companies.
I can teach GCSE level Maths, A level Maths and Further Maths, and University level applied mathematics.
In addition, I can tutor the majority of Aerospace/Mechanical/Civil Engineering modules.
I can teach Mechanics, Statistics, Fluid Mechanics, Fluid Dynamics, thermodynamics, Linear Algebra, Machine Learning, Vector Calculus, Computational and Numerical Methods and more.
Feel free to contact me if you have a topic you need help with, and I'll let you know if I can teach it.
With my experience in industry and decades of experience in tutoring, I am a seasoned tutor who provides a bespoke learning curriculum for my students to help them grow to their full potential. I believe all students learn and do well, but the main challenge is ensuring that they are able to reach that potential in time. Therefore, I aim to ensure that my students have a proper learning schedule so that they are capable when the exam season starts.
I am easy to contact, and I value any questions that you may have to help improve your knowledge, whether it's about the topic, or academia or industry.
