I would recommend Vivienne to any parent who wants to see ‘almost’ instant results in their children’s confidence. Vivienne identifies very quickly the needs of the student and whilst creating an environment for learning , tailors the learning to meet the individual. My daughter had an instant rapport with the learning methods when Vivienne identified with some simple questions what methods would initiate a thirst for more learning. My daughter was capable but struggled with a teacher and this affected confidence and grades - she went from a B at Advanced higher Maths to a top A with no struggles in misinterpreting what the question asked. The learning environment was definitely and Vivienne offered help whenever needed and would never leave a problem unsolved so would give as much time as needed on every lesson. Could not recommend her enough.

Vivienne came out once for tutoring then was due to start back again in the new school term though unfortunately she contacted us to advise that she could no longer tutor our daughter as she got a new post down south.

Thank you for your feedback; I am not sure how you could judge me and justify a score against my tutoring ability when I had only conducted one session as per your request. I had advised you that I am a contractor for my main line of work and that I was looking for a new contract. I could not find a contract in Scotland and had to accept an offer down south. I have apologised for the inconvenience caused and advised you with plenty of time to find an alternative tutor before the commencement of the new term.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Vivienne. She tutored my 15yr old daughter for her Nat 5 Maths exam. She was extremely patient and taught in a way that she was able to understand it easier. She helped her unlock the knowledge and improved her confidence in Maths.
For her Prelim my daughter got a D however after tutoring we were delighted to find out that she received an A in her final exam.

Vivienne was AMAZING with my daughter T. There were a few last minute areas where T felt she didn’t understand- Vivienne’s calm, patient and logical way of tutoring really helped T get to grips before her Higher Maths exam and she, and I, can not recommend Vivienne highly enough.

Vivienne has transformed my daughter's attitude and ability in Mathematics. Her confidence has grown and she is now enjoying the subject too. Vivienne is kind and patient, she takes the time to explain the concepts in a clear and enjoyable way. And will always look for another way to explain things if my daughter doesn't get it first time round. I am so glad we found her!

We engaged Vivienne when our daughter struggled with and failed her National 5 Maths prelim. Vivienne's knowledge of the subject goes without saying but it is her ability to connect with her student, her endless patience and her willingness to go the extra mile that sets her apart from other tutors we have used in the past. The confidence that she instilled enabled our daughter to obtain not only a pass but an 'A' at her National 5. We couldn't recommend Vivienne highly enough to anyone looking for a Maths Tutor.
