I am passionate about teaching children, and as a teacher, I hope to be a role model, that cultivates in young people, open minds, the knowledge and skills, and ability to look at the would critically, and the belief in ones’ capacity to make positive contributions to society. I have always excelled at Math’s and enjoy teaching all mathematics which is important in day to life in Real situations, and feel I possess the skills that enable to me make a positive contribution to teaching with the New Mathematics and Science Curriculums.

Tutoring Experience

Throughout my forty year teaching career I have gained extensive skills in training and management, alongside working as a teacher/ tutor directly with children in all ages. Through these roles I have seen the impact that my experience within teaching has had on my ability to assess and report on a range of issues. I have also undertaken regular academic study and professional training to ensure that I can offer feedback, allowing me to provide successful mentoring as well as assessment

Tutoring Approach

As an Accredited Professional Development Lead of National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics UK, and a Tutor/teacher and CPD Provider in mathematics for the UK schools and individuals, I am planning detailed secessions/ lessons with basic to develop teaching methods and qualities using accurate mathematical vocabulary and writing logical answers to questions by informing and influencing participants, and to improve understanding, awareness and ability to use functional mathematics skills required set in Real life situations by tackling reasoning and problem solving.

I have adhered to consistent high standards of professional conduct. I have remained passionate about gaining knowledge and experience to ensure that I can successfully fulfil each role. Having worked with all the ages in education in the UK and Sri Lanka, I have shown an ability to adapt swiftly and effectively in international contexts, ensuring I provide the same high standards in each. My passionate and reflective approach to ensuring an excellent education for all children has not only shown in management and administrative work, however, but has also inspired enthusiasm within the educational environment and I look forward to being able to contribute to teaching profession and younger generation.
