Hi, I am Wei. I graduated from Imperial College London with a first class degree in maths, after that I continued my study in University of Warwick, and I got a master degree in math with distinction. I have been providing maths tuition to my peers and A-level students through my university life.
I always believe that every student is able to do A-level maths. From my teaching experience, I realised that students struggling with maths have gaps between understanding maths concept and using maths notations. There is nothing to do with being smart or not. With the right perspective and good amount of practice, every student can overcome these gaps and master maths.
The responses from the people that I have worked with make me feel my passion of helping people overcome difficulties and achieve more.
Over the last 5 years I have been worked with students with different ages and ability levels: from GCSE and A-level students, to university students.
The general approach consist of four main goals :
The actual approach is highly customised based on students' situation and personality, since every student is different. The first session will consist of student going through exam paper with me . This allows me to find their strengths and weaknesses and adjust further sessions.
The main idea of my teaching is be patient and no ambiguity. I want to create an atmosphere that my student feels comfortable to make mistakes and ask questions whenever they don't understand something. Students, especially at the age of doing GCSEs and A-levels, usually have difficulty sharing their thoughts and feelings with their parents. I am willing to be their friend, and help them pursue their goals.
If you are considering having a one-to-one tuition, then I am willing a provide a free test session.
