I am an experienced and friendly, computer literate teacher, willing to travel to you or offer tuition from my home, in person or at a distance (i.e. via email). An Oxford Classics graduate with 30 years' experience teaching in the independent sector, I have experience of working from a number of different course books, some of which I have helped to produce, and can offer additional revision materials of my own to support your studies. I also have a CELTA qualification.
I have in schools taught Latin and Ancient Greek to CE, GCSE and A level, and Mathematics to CE and GCSE. I have also given private tuition in Latin, Ancient Greek and Mathematics to GCSE. Currently I am employed part time teaching Latin and Ancient Greek to GCSE and Latin and Classical Civilisation to A level at Moreton Hall School, while continuing my private tuition in person and online via Google Meet and Zoom.
My focus is your focus. You will have the benefit of one-to-one sessions, where your individual interests and needs within the subject can be addressed. A certain amount of homework would usually be beneficial between sessions, but it will be entirely up to how much you want or can fit into a busy schedule. For those attending school, I would expect to be a support to your normal lessons, not a replacement for them, so clear communication between us will be important. In the case that you are not attending other lessons, then I can recommend resources, online and physical, to aid your learning.
