I am an experienced teacher, I have been teaching for 20 years. My current post is as head of Biology.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience teaching students ranging from the age of 11 to adults, in establishments that include schools, sixth form colleges and adult education college.
Subjects i have taught or currently teaching include combined Science to GCSE, BTec Science, Biology at A Level, GNVQ and the new Applied Science at GCSE and A Level. My specialism is A level Biology with a strong focus on AQA and Edexcel B specifications for A level. I have tutored many students in groups as well as one to one, this has resulted in achievement above target grades given by schools and colleges.

Tutoring Approach

I believe tuition is important for many students for a number of reasons, this could be to boost confidence to enable students to answer questions correctly during exams, to help students understand concepts they have not understood during lessons taught and mainly to help students achieve their target grades or above in many cases. My teaching methods combine learning content thoroughly alongside exam techniques to make sure students are able to interpret and answer the questions correctly.
