I am currently in the role teacher in charge of Geography as well as pastoral lead for KS4. This is my 11th year in teaching. I have an amazing rapport with my pupils. Which has enabled geography to be the top chosen choice subject in my current school.
I have experience in teaching both AQA and Edexcel A and B options in Geography.
I am responsible for pupil progress and curriculum for Geography.
Within my teaching career I have taught History and Religious studies as well which I have a strong passion for too.
I also have an A-level in Biology and History. I have a keen interest in History.
I am available most evenings and weekends.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently working in a Private school within the inner city of Birmingham. This is my 11th year in teaching. I have worked in a state funded school for 8 years, Which was in a challenging area within Birmingham, this allowed me to gain extensive experience in teaching a range of abilities. Pupils have excelled in my classes and I have a proven track record. I studied, completed my training and grew up in London. Which allowed me to gain extensive knowledge and was able to teach at a range of levels.
For the last four years I have also been an AQA examiner for my specialist subject of Geography, which I have been accredited for.
I have taught Biology, Religious studies and History at GCSE level alongside by specialism.

Tutoring Approach

I use a range of teaching styles to match the needs of my pupils. Lessons are not dictated, but a love for the subject and curiosity is built. I do this by using enquiry based learning, questions and engage pupils through videos, modelling and retrieval practice. Assessments are done in short bursts as well as formative assessments. Feedback is always given and dedicated time to improve and reflect on feedback given.
Revision techniques are shown and use of past papers, revision guides, model answers will be used.
This allows pupils to engage at all levels and excel in the subject.
