My passion for all-things science led me to purse Biology as my first degree subject and then later a PhD. I have over 7 years of lab-based research experience in Biological Sciences, which means I will be able to take my students through the journey of wonder and discovery behind the topics-of-study. In short, you will understand Biology from a Biologist!
During my PhD years, I helped scores of undergraduates with their final-year research projects, teaching them complex cell biology techniques and training them with the ins and outs of working in a lab. Additionally, I demonstrated in many lab practicals (part of BSc course) which involved showing and explaining the techniques to students as well as marking associated assignments. This trained me to explain a difficult topic in an easy-to-understand way.
It is important to realise that everyone learn at their own pace and style, but a common way to understand any complex topic is to start with the basics. Therefore, my approach is to design PowerPoint slides that takes a difficult-to-understand topic into simple steps. I also like to use analogies, which I have found helpful in understanding the scientific principles. However, I am open to take a personalised approach to tutoring based on what works best for you!
