I feel passionately about languages, and how important they are to our children and young peoples futures setting them apart from the crowd and offering so many opportunities both at university and in the job market.
I have taught French and Spanish for 12 years, currently Head of Department, as well as an examiner for two of the main exam boards.
I gain great personal satisfaction from helping children and young people, and seeing the light-bulb moment happen. Languages are a subject that many pupils find difficult, and I really enjoy working through the barriers with them.
I am at ease with both face-to-face and Zoom teaching.
I've got over 12 years experience teaching Spanish to GCSE and French to A-level; I've also got experience teaching primary French from KS1.
I take great care to make lessons interesting, enjoyable and engaging but also teaching the building blocks of grammar in a fun way!

Working through COVID-19 has highlighted the importance of the personal touch, and I feel my students have benefited enormously from more individual attention that is difficult to attain in a classroom situation.
I want every student to reach their full potential whilst having fun at the same time!
