I am friendly, approachable and reliable. I also have training in psychotherapy so I can understand the frustration that students can feel about maths. I live in Eastbourne and I can offer one to one tuition over zoom or Skype. I am also happy to work with groups of 2 students to share the cost.
I currently teach A level maths at a sixth form college, and have been tutoring maths at functional skills, GCSE and A level standard for six years. I know the syllabus very well. I have a degree in Mathematics, but I have a wide range of other experience too.
I believe maths should be fun, and relevant, rather than a list of formulas. My approach is student-centred, which means I tailor my work to where the student is confident and build upon this to reach a rich, multi-layered understanding. Links between topics help to develop logical reasoning and creative problem solving.
