Edward James

I graduated from The University of Manchester with a degree in Physics (BSc) and I am preparing to study Medicine. I am half Swedish and I have been brought up bilingual (Swedish and English). I have a passion for learning and helping others to learn. Other than maths and the sciences, I enjoy learning languages and foreign cultures - having lived in three different countries and learnt Latin out of school to A Level. I enjoy cycling, playing football and playing piano.

Tutoring Experience

My teaching experience comprises private tuition of a wide range of subjects over several years. I have tutored primary and secondary school pupils as well as adults and casual learners. I have also taught in primary education and in the university peer to peer on a volunteer basis. I also have experience supervising, training and coaching children in football and tennis.

Tutoring Approach

Evaluate the tutee's level and aspirations and work to create a set of goals, focusing on particular areas of importance or difficulty, in order to help the tutee gain confidence and excel in the chosen subject, and ultimately, and perhaps most importantly, enjoy doing so!
